Telugu actors Varun Tej Konidela and Lavanya Tripathi welcomed their first child earlier this month, and on the auspicious day of Dussehra, the couple took to social media to reveal their firstborn’s name: Vaayuv Tej Konidela. The couple welcomed their son on September 10, 2025, in Hyderabad. Almost three weeks later, they officially introduced him to the world through a heartwarming social media post.
The actors, who tied the knot in November 2023, announced their son’s name with a picture that shows them dressed in ethnic attire, at what looks like a ceremony. Taking to his Instagram page to make the announcement, Varun Tej wrote, “Our greatest blessing now has a name.” He also posted a video through which the celebrity couple also shared the meaning of the name of their child.
“A name that embodies unstoppable force, devotion, courage, and spiritual radiance. Carrying the spirit of Lord Hanuman. We introduce our beloved son, Vaayuv Tej Konidela,” wrote the actor.
Fans have been celebrating the arrival of the newest member of the Konidela family, one of Telugu cinema’s most prominent dynasties. Many have been sharing their reactions in the comments section. A user posted, “What a beautiful name . 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️god bless the three of you! 🧿,” while another added, “Loard Hanuman bless him ❤️😍.” A few more comments read as, “Little Vayuv Tej, may your journey be as bright as your name 🌟💙,” “Wow what a beautiful way to reveal the name !!! God bless the new born and the parents ❤️.”
A fan also asked, “Is it the combination of varun and lavanya 🤔 @varunkonidela7 vaayuv❤️.”
After the baby’s arrival, Varun Tej Konidela had first shared a post on Instagram with a striking black-and-white picture of the couple radiating joy as they shared the news with fans. The post caption then read, “Our little man 10.09.2025.”
Chiranjeevi too had shared a picture with the newborn and the new dad. Varun is the son of Telugu actor and producer Nagendra Babu, making him Chiranjeevi’s nephew.
His post caption read, “Welcome to the world, little one! A hearty welcome to the newborn baby boy in the Konidela family. Heartfelt congratulations to Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi on becoming proud parents. So happy for Nagababu and Padmaja, who are now promoted to proud grandparents. Wishing the baby boy all the happiness, good health, and blessings in abundance. May your love and blessings always surround our child. ❤️🙏.”
A few days ago, Varun had written in a post, “Your tiny hands speak to our hearts in ways words never could. Oh boy, you’ve filled our lives with love beyond measure. ♥️”
Stars like Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Allu Arjun, Pawan Kalyan, Naga Chaitanya, Kajal Aggarwal, and many others showered love on the new parents and the kid after his arrival.
Varun Tej and Lavanya tied the knot in a grand ceremony in November 2023 in an intimate ceremony attended by family and friends in Tuscany, Italy. After two years, they have entered parenthood.
