Pushpa 2 box office collection day 4 early report: After surpassing the lifetime collection of Pushpa: The Rise (Rs 350.1 crore) in under two days, director Sukumar’s action drama Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles, continues to dominate the box office. In a major achievement, the film is expected to cross the Rs 780 crore global gross mark today. Following an extraordinary performance on Saturday, the film is maintaining impressive momentum on Sunday as well, indicating that it is on track to soon surpass the Rs 1,000 crore threshold in a matter of a few days.

As of 4 pm on Sunday, Pushpa 2 had earned Rs 79.59 crore domestically, according to Sacnilk, bringing its total India nett collection to Rs 467.54 crore. In the Telugu market, the film has seen an overall occupancy rate of 72.29 per cent, with the morning occupancy at 57.91 per cent and the afternoon rate soaring to 86.67 per cent. In the Hindi market, it recorded an overall occupancy of 78.76 per cent, with morning and afternoon shows achieving 65.46 per cent and 92.06 per cent, respectively.

It is worth noting that Pushpa 2 raked in Rs 119.25 crore domestically on Saturday, with contributions from its Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions amounting to Rs 73.5 crore, Rs 35 crore, Rs 8.1 crore Rs 1.85 crore and Rs 80 lakh, respectively. That same day, the film became the fastest to cross Rs 500 crore globally. On its opening day, Pushpa 2 grossed a staggering Rs 294 crore worldwide, setting a new record for the highest opening in Indian cinema, surpassing the previous record held by director SS Rajamouli’s RRR (Rs 223 crore), starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles.

In his review of Pushpa 2, The Indian Express SCREEN’s Anandu Suresh awarded the film 2.5 stars out of 5, noting that it struggles under the pressure to perform, though he commended the acting of Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil. Also starring Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Rao Ramesh in key roles, the movie’s background score and soundtrack have been composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with lyrics written by Chandrabose. Pushpa 2 also features additional background score composed by Sam CS.
