Pushpa 2 The Rise advance booking: When Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) declared that he was no longer merely a “flower,” as his name suggested, nor just “fire,” as he had been three years ago, but had evolved into “wildfire,” it initially sounded like self-promotion. However, the pre-release business figures prove otherwise as the box office is already grappling with the sheer force of the Pushpa 2 toofan. With nearly two days still to go before its First Day First Show, Pushpa 2 has already raked in over Rs 30 crore in the domestic market, signaling that director Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is poised to set new box office benchmarks.

Pushpa 2 sells almost 12 lakh tickets

As of 10 am on Tuesday, the film had earned Rs 36.77 crore in India, with 11,84,957 tickets sold across 21,909 shows, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The Telugu 2D version alone contributed Rs 18.01 crore (5,10,489 tickets across 4,014 shows), while the Hindi version added Rs 12.30 crore (4,28,243 tickets for 12,561 shows). The Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada versions brought in Rs 1.04 crore (63,263 tickets for 1,418 shows), Rs 86.61 lakh (51,611 tickets for 1,096 shows) and Rs 3.98 lakh (1,730 tickets for 131 shows), respectively.

Can Pushpa 2 surpass RRR’s opening day box office record?

It’s worth noting that director SS Rajamouli’s RRR (2022), starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, set the record for the highest opening-day collection by an Indian film with Rs 223 crore worldwide. The film had achieved advance bookings worth Rs 58.73 crore before its first show. Based on current trends, Pushpa 2 appears well-positioned to challenge RRR’s record. However, it remains to be seen if the film will enter the elite list of top-grossing Indian films and potentially surpass any of the current top five: Dangal (Rs 2,070.3 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1,788.06 crore), RRR (Rs 1,230 crore), KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1,215 crore) and Jawan (Rs 1,160 crore).

Pushpa 2 sells fastest 1 million tickets

In the meanwhile, Pushpa 2 has emerged as the fastest movie to sell 1 million tickets on the ticketing platform, BookMyShow. “Pushpa 2: The Rule has become the fastest movie to surpass the 1 million tickets sold on BookMyShow, crossing Kalki 2898 AD, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and K.G.F.: Chapter 2. Fans rushed to get their tickets booked, on BookMyShow, across the country with Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Pune leading the charge,” said Ashish Saksena, COO – Cinemas, BookMyShow in a statement.
