Makers of Devara: Part 1 is planning a massive release for the film. While Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts have a wide reach across South India, the makers have collaborated with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions to distribute the film in the North. Dharma Productions took to social media to announce the new collaboration with the makers of Devara: Part 1.
Along with the announcement, a picture of Karan Johar with Jr NTR and the team of Devara was also shared. “Brace yourself for a mass hurricane! We are proud to announce our partnership for the north theatrical distribution rights for the next big cinematic experience in Indian cinema! Man of Masses Jr NTR’s #Devara – in cinemas 10th October 2024,” read the statement.
While Dharma Productions has not bankrolled films outside of Bollywood, the banner has been distributing big-budget South Indian films in the North. Baahubali films, Ghazi Attack, and 2.0 are some of the films presented by Dharma Productions. Now, Jr NTR’s Devara Part 1 joins the list.
Since the release of RRR, Jr NTR has formed a fanbase across the country, and there’s a huge demand for his films in the North. The actor didn’t release any film post-RRR, and hence, there’s a huge anticipation for Devara Part 1, which is directed by Kortala Siva.
The film also marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor. She made her debut with Dhadak, which was produced by Dharma Productions. Saif Ali Khan, who played Ravan in Adipurush, will be making his full-fledged debut in Telugu with Devara Part.
With music by Anirudh Ravichander, Devara Part 1 will be another bloody action drama from the South. Earlier, the teaser of the film established the rustic tone of the movie which is set in a coastal village in Andhra Pradesh. The film will be released on 10th October 2024.
