Actor Allu Arjun will be reprising the role of Pushpa Raj in the second installment in the Pushpa franchise, Pushpa: The Rule. On the eve of the actor’s birthday, the makers released the first poster of Pushpa 2.

In the poster, Arjun is seen in an intense look and a completely new avatar. He is dressed in a saree and has gold jewellery on him. The garland of lemons immediately catches your attention. But he looks intensely into the camera and has a gun in one of his hands. One could only assume that Arjun’s Pushpa Raj got into the get-up just to hide from the police.

Sharing the first look poster of Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun wrote on Twitter, “#Pushpa2TheRule Begins!!!” As he shared the poster, fans couldn’t hold their excitement. One of them commented on it saying, “Taking Indian cinema to the next level 🔥⚡️🤯 ICON STAR ⭐️” Another wrote, “Next Level 🔥🔥😱.” A comment read, “All the best @alluarjun stunning visual Can’t wait to see.”

Earlier today, the makers released a teaser of Pushpa: The Rule which showed how Pushpa Raj has escaped Tirupathi jail. Though earlier it is assumed that he has been killed by the police, later he is shown to be hiding in a forest.

The first film in the franchise, Pushpa: The Rise was a humongous success across the country. It narrated the story of a daily labourer’s rise in the red sandalwood smuggling world. Helmed by Sukumar, it also starred Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The second film in the franchise will hit theatres this year.
