Actress Shabana Azmi celebrated her 74th birthday on Wednesday. Joining her in this intimate celebration were several Bollywood actresses including Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, Urmila Matondkar, and Anjali Anand. New mommy Richa Chadha was also seen attending the party, along with Farah Khan. Shabana Azmi’s sister-in-law Tanvi Azmi and daughter-in-law Shibani Dandekar also joined the celebration. Farah and Dia treated fans to some inside glimpses of Shabana Azmi’s 74th birthday celebration. Interestingly, the celebration was also for Shabana Azmi’s 50 years in Indian cinema.
Farah Khan shared a video on Instagram stating that she was the actress’s 50th birthday celebration. In the fun video, Shabana was joined by Urmila and Vidya too.
Later, actress Dia Mirza shared a series of photos sharing that Shabana also completed 50 years in Indian cinema. She wrote, “Happy Birthday Shabana Amma! You are our inspiration, our cheerleader, and the glue that holds us together. We are so lucky to call you our own. As you complete 50 years in cinema this month please know that you are deeply cherished. Thank you for being the absolute best. We love you!”
Dia also shared a photo of the cake that encapsulated Shabana Azmi’s beautiful journey in cinema. Actress Richa Chadha who was last seen in Heeramandi and recently welcomed her daughter, was also seen at the celebrations. Reacting to Farah’s video, actress Anjali Anand who was also at the party commented, “When did this happen? Was I eating chaat?”, many fans wished Shabana Azmi and called her a queen.
On the work front, Shabana Azmi was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Ghoomer. Next, she will be seen in Bun Tikki and Lahore,1947.
