Bigg Boss 17’s journey for Ankita Lokhande has been one bumpy ride, and what made it tougher were her arguments with husband Vicky Jain on the show. Even though both have now said that this bickering between them is common, and that’s their relationship in real life too. But this equation on the show sent out a very wrong message about the couple, and eventually, their families had to intervene. Ankita and Vicky had their families sit and explain to them not once, but twice about how their fights were showing them in a bad light.

But what became a highlight of those meetings was Vicky’s mother talking separately with Ankita. In the therapy room, she questioned Ankita’s upbringing concerning her father, and even mentioned her father who passed away a few months back. This left the actress upset, but these potshots from Vicky’s mom didn’t just stop there, she went on to speak badly about Ankita with the media after she came out of the house too. This caused a huge uproar, with Ankita getting support from the fans and fraternity. Now, in an exclusive interview with indianexpress.com, the actress has addressed that incident.
Justifying her mother-in-law’s actions, Ankita said, “To date, people have made their assumptions, they have said what they had to, I am not going to stop them since whatever happened that time was in front of everyone. It is a family matter for me, if certain things were told to me, I know her intention was not that. I have stayed with these people, I know how much they love me, but on Bigg Boss, mumma got a little emotional.”
Ankita also said that she has always been very happy in that house and continued, “My mother-in-law is just like me, she will tell you things to your face, but her intentions were not bad. As far as the negative image of the family is concerned, I am here to protect that now. I want to state that I have always been very happy in that house. Even today I am very happy, and it will be the same in the future too. There is nothing I can do about what people have to say. She saw Vicky cry for the first time; he is a very strong man, but when she saw that, her heart sank. So maybe that is why she said all those things. But it doesn’t matter, after I came back, we met and there were no questions or discussions, it is all sorted. I cannot disrespect her by bringing that up again, we both have moved on from that.”
