Much to the delight of the couple and their families, Kannada star Yash graced the wedding of Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya and popular Carnatic singer-Bharatanatyam dancer Sivasri Skandaprasad recently. In a video from the event that has since gone viral, Yash can be seen interacting with the newlyweds while excited attendees, starstruck by his presence, enthusiastically call out to him as “Rocky bhai”.

In the clip, which is currently making rounds on social media, Surya and Sivasri are seen standing before Yash with folded hands as a sign of respect and gratitude for his presence. As he exchanges pleasantries with them, their faces light up with joy, while other guests eagerly gather around them, hoping to catch a closer glimpse of the KGF star, click photos of him or even share a brief moment with the actor. Amid the warm interactions, Yash also took a few moments to wave to his fans, further endearing himself to the crowd.

A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the national president of its youth wing, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Surya has represented the Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency since 2019. He tied the knot with Sivasri at Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, on Thursday, with the ceremony attended by party bigwigs such as Union Minister of State (MoS) for Railways and Jal Shakti V Somanna, K Annamalai and Amit Malviya.

One of the biggest stars in Kannada cinema, Yash is currently working in director Geetu Mohandas’ period gangster film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Although the movie was initially slated for release on April 10, 2025, Yash recently revealed that they would not be able to meet the date. “We had to start a little early, but something went wrong. We had some date issues, so it took more time than what we had anticipated. I won’t be able to come out with the film on that date,” Yash said during a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India.

“After that, I really didn’t want to announce a date [beforehand]. For me, credibility is important. It has never happened before that we announced a date and couldn’t meet it. This is the first time. We didn’t even start [filming]. There are so many complications. Actors from various industries are a part of it. All of them are busy. When doing such a project, you need to wait. Bringing everyone together is a little difficult in this film,” he added.
