After Dua Lipa‘s electrifying performance in Mumbai, American pop rock band Maroon 5 is gearing up to take the stage in India. The globally renowned band, comprising lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Adam Levine, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, lead guitarist James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton, and bassist Sam Farrar, arrived in Mumbai on Monday. The much-anticipated concert will take place on Tuesday at Mumbai’s iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse, marking the band’s debut performance in the country.
The paparazzi captured the band’s arrival at a private airport terminal in Mumbai. All the members were seen smiling and waving at photographers as they exited the terminal. Keeping it low-key, they quickly boarded their vehicles and departed. Known for their chart-topping hits like “Girls Like You”, “Sugar”, “Moves Like Jagger”, “Memories”, and “She Will Be Loved”, Maroon 5’s discography promises a spectacular evening for fans.
As per reports, ticket prices for the concert are tiered as follows: General Access (Rs 7,999), VIP (Rs 13,999), Fan Pit areas on either side (Rs 16,999), and exclusive lounges (Rs 24,999).
Maroon 5’s journey in music dates back to 1994 when they formed under the name Kara’s Flowers. Founding members Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, and Ryan Dusick were still high school students at the time. In 2001, the band rebranded as Maroon 5, shifting their musical direction and welcoming guitarist James Valentine. Their debut album, Songs About Jane, not only propelled them to stardom but also earned them a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. Over the years, Maroon 5 has sold more than 120 million records worldwide, solidifying their status as one of the best-selling music bands of all time.
Maroon 5’s arrival follows Dua Lipa’s unforgettable concert in Mumbai on Saturday. The British pop star created a viral moment with her performance on the viral mashup of “Levitating” and Shah Rukh Khan’s “Woh Ladki Jo”. Dua also expressed her deep affection for India, sharing how she always finds reasons to visit. It was her second performance in the country.
