Singer Ed Sheeran’s second album “X”, has broken a record for the longest stay in the UK album chart top 10.

The 24-year-old “Thinking Out Loud” singer released the follow-up to his first album, “+” in July, 2014 and it shot straight to the top of the albums chart, where it remained for eight weeks, reported Contactmusic.

The album sold more than 2 million copies in the U.K., nine months after its release, making Ed the fifth artist to achieve the feat this decade after Adele, Emeli Sande, Take That and Michael Buble.
