BTS’ Jin and WINNER’s Seung-yoon recently took to Weverse and shared heartwarming pictures from their meeting during their military service. The singers, currently enlisted in the South Korean army, posed for photos and opened up about their experiences.

The photos, shared on Twitter by fans, captured the camaraderie between the two talented artists. One fan wrote, “Assistant Military Drill Instructor Kim Seokjin with WINNER’s Seung-yoon, who just completed his training at his division.” In the picture, Jin looked dashing in a black shirt over his camo military uniform. Seung-yoon, too, sported his military uniform and gave a cheerful thumbs-up to the camera.

Jin’s heartwarming Weverse post congratulated Seung-yoon on his completion of training. He wrote, “Seung-yoon-ssi, congratulations on your completion. I had a fun time during the 6 weeks. (He’s a cool vocalist from the group WINNER.) You worked hard during your trainee life, do well at your base as well sob sob.”

The BTS member also took a moment to address the topic of special treatment, assuring fans that they are not receiving any special privileges in the army. “I asked to take a photo together to commemorate, hoping that ARMYs and Inner Circles would like it. Our company commander and administrative commander are good people, so we had a good 6 weeks (didn’t get special treatment),” Jin wrote.

Jin is the oldest member of the globally acclaimed K-pop band BTS. He confirmed his military enlistment in November 2022. He commenced his mandatory military service in December 2022. He was promoted to a higher rank of Corporal in the army in January this year.

In South Korea, all able-bodied men between the age of 18 and 28 are required to serve in the military for about two years. All BTS members had been allowed to put off starting their military service until they turned 30.
