However, fans couldn’t help but notice the absence of Priyanka Chopra, who is usually a regular at Ambani parties. Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, who arrived in Jamnagar to participate in the pre-wedding bash, spoke about the actor’s absence. The groom’s sister, Isha Ambani, was a bridesmaid at Priyanka’s wedding.
In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Madhu revealed her long-standing desire to visit Jamnagar, expressing gratitude to Anant and Radhika for making it possible. She said, “I have been wanting to come to Jamnagar. In fact, I spoke to Anant (about it) many years ago. It’s become true now. I am really looking forward to it (the pre-wedding bash).” When asked about Priyanka’s absence, Madhu agreed that Priyanka was indeed missing, but did not disclose the reason, simply stating, “She will make up for it, don’t worry.”
Previously, both Priyanka and her husband Nick Jonas had flown in from the USA to attend the opening of the NMACC (Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre) in Mumbai. Priyanka even performed with Ranveer Singh at the event, which also saw the presence of Hollywood celebrities such as Zendaya and Gigi Hadid.
Currently, Priyanka is enjoying downtime with her family, sharing multiple pictures and videos with her daughter Malti Marie Jonas. On the professional front, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in projects like Love Again and the Prime Video series Citadel. She stars alongside Idris Elba and John Cena in her next Hollywood flick Heads of State.
