Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The movie stars Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in lead roles and also marks South superstar Jr NTR’s Hindi film debut. Ahead of its release, the makers have teased fans by unveiling posters of the film.
Jr NTR plays a negative character in War 2, and the poster shows him in action as he charges at his enemies with a fierce expression. Hrithik’s poster also shows him in combat mode. Earlier, the makers had shared the War 2 teaser, which featured Hrithik and Jr NTR extensively, but included only a few glimpses of Kiara. Now, the makers have shared Kiara’s full look from the film. She is seen holding a gun, dressed entirely in black — with black latex pants, a black tank top, and a black overcoat.
Fans shared their excitement in the comments section of the posters. A fan wrote, “Just bring it on. Can’t wait anymore 🥳.” Another one wrote, “Can’t wait to witness the action & magic that you’ve created on the big screen 🥹❤️🔥.”
In the teaser of War 2 shared by the makers earlier, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR are shown at loggerheads. While Hrithik reprises his role as RAW agent Major Kabir Dhaliwal, Jr NTR plays the antagonist. The teaser showed Jr NTR declaring war against Hrithik. It also featured high-octane action sequences shot across multiple breathtaking international locations.
The movie is the sixth installment in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. The franchise began with Ek Tha Tiger, followed by Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. Another film in the franchise — Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari — is also in the pipeline.
War 2 will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on August 14. The film is produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films.
