Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri on Tuesday laid out plans for his future films and revealed that he has four projects lined up, including his upcoming The Vaccine War. A follow-up to his The Kashmir Files, The Vaccine War is scheduled to release on Independence Day, this year.

Agnihotri took to Twitter and wrote that he has dedicated the next few years of his life to mount these “unprecedented projects”, which include a film on the “hidden truth of India’s bloody partition” and an ambitious three-art feature on India’s “greatest epic.”

The projects Agnihotri said he will work on include Kashmir Unreported – a docuseries on Kashmir, The Vaccine War – a feature film on the making of the indigenous COVID vaccine, The Delhi Files – a film on the “hidden truth of India’s bloody partition”,  feature film The Fall of Nizam and a three-part feature film series on India’s greatest epic.

“I am focused on my projects with grit, conviction and determination. My purpose is to create and raise awareness about the greatness of the Indic civilisation and highlight our great history, philosophy, sacrifice, strength and achievements so that younger generation feels proud of their rich heritage. I have consistently risked my life and resources for projects that highlight the truth of our civilisation.

“From Urban Naxals to The Kashmir Files, my team and I have fought a unique battle. The next few years of my life are dedicated to the following unprecedented projects,” he wrote in his tweet.

The filmmaker said he has plans to establish a “world class Indic research unit” and wrote that his team is also “empowering” a number of young storytellers. “Am determined to enhance space for more creative and spiritual energy into my life so that I can do what has never been done before. As a proud Indian, I want India to become an inspiration for the world….,” he tweeted.

Mounted on a smaller budget, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files–, which chronicled the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley during the early phase of the armed insurgency–emerged as the surprise blockbuster of last year.

The film, however, received strong political support with several states, including Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, declaring it tax-free.
