Urmila Matondkar’s friends from film industry wished her a happy married life including former boyfriend and director Ram Gopal Varma.

Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar tied the knot with Kashmir-based businessman-model, Mohsin Akhtar Mir, in a quiet ceremony on March 3. The wedding was solemnised as per Hindu rituals at Urmila’s residence in Mumbai. Her friends from film industry wished her a happy married life including former boyfriend and director Ram Gopal Varma.

The 42-year-old actress had worked in RGV’s ‘Rangeela’, ‘Satya’, ‘Bhoot’, ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Daud, Jungle, Kaun to name a few.

Designer Manish Malhotra, who was the only person from Bollywood to have attended the wedding, shared a picture of his friend and congratulated her.

Urmila informed the media by issuing a statement, “We kept it an exclusive wedding with just
family and friends at the celebration. Since our families wanted the wedding to be a low-key affair, we mutually decided to keep it private. We seek your blessings on embarking this new journey of our lives.”

Urmila had last appeared on screen in a 2014 Marathi film named “Ajoba”.

Earlier this week, actress Preity Zinta tied the knot with her US-based boyfriend Gene Goodenough.
