Vikrant Massey’s The Sabarmati Report, also starring Raashii Khanna and Riddhi Dogra, has garnered attention since its release last Friday. The film was praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday but it looks like his support did not really help the film’s box office collection on Monday as the film only collected Rs 1.1 crore on its fourth day, as per Sacnilk.

After four days in theatres, the film’s domestic collection stands at Rs 7.45 crore (nett). On the first day, The Sabarmati Report earned Rs 1.25 crore and the numbers grew over the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, the film made Rs 2.1 crore and Rs 3 crore.

The Sabarmati Report, backed by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, showed promising growth over the weekend, but its momentum appears to have slowed down on its first Monday. Interestingly, Vikrant Massey’s previous blockbuster, 12th Fail, faced a similar box office scenario in its first week, only to regain traction and sustain it later.

The Sabarmati Report observed a overall Hindi occupancy of 16.04 percent with most people catching its night shows. In Mumbai, there were 271 shows and the occupancy was observed at 20 percent. In Delhi and NCR, the occupancy was 14 percent for 334 shows.

Previously, PM Modi reposted a tweet that praised the film and wrote, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”

Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again vs Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

The Sabarmati Report has entered a competitive box office landscape, with no new releases challenging its place. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 maintains its stronghold, having surpassed Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again. Since their Diwali clash, both films have performed exceptionally well. As of day 18, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has amassed Rs 233.05 crore (nett), narrowly leading Singham Again’s total collection of Rs 231.85 crore (nett).
