The trailer of The Body, starring Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala, is out. The film is a remake of the Spanish film of the same name.
In the trailer, we find out that the dead body of Sobhita’s character has gone missing from the morgue. The cop, played by a rugged Rishi, suspects the husband, played by Emraan, who is somehow involved in the matter. As the trailer proceeds, we realise that this is a story of deception where things are not as they seem.
As Sobhita Dhulipala’s character is introduced in the trailer, you hear Rishi Kapoor’s voice over saying “She was a powerful business woman”, but the visual accompanying this line has her coming out of a pool in a bathing suit. It is yet to be seen if this tone will be continued in the film or has just been added in the trailer to attract some eyeballs.
The Body marks Rishi Kapoor’s first appearance on the silver screen after his cancer treatment in New York. Emraan Hashmi and Sobhita Dhulipala were seen together recently in the Netflix series Bard of Blood.
The Body has been directed by Jeethu Joseph who is making his debut in Hindi movies. Jeethu is known for directing the 2013 Malayalam film Drishyam. The film’s story and screenplay has been written by Oriol Paulo, who directed the Spanish original.
