Sunny Deol gets dressed as Gadar’s Tara Singh for son Karan’s sangeet ceremony; Bobby Deol, Abhay Deol attend

Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol’s pre-wedding ceremonies have been going on in full swing for the last few days. On Friday, the Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass actor had his sangeet ceremony where his father stole the limelight. Karan’s uncles, Bobby and Abhay Deol, also attended the ceremony.

At Karan’s sangeet, Sunny dressed up as Tara Singh, his character from his superhit film Gadar. He wore a chequered brown blazer over a matching pathaani salwar and grey kurta. Tbe actor completed his look with a brown turban. The sequel of Gadar, Gadar 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on August 11.

Karan Deol will be tying the knot with Drisha Acharya, the great-granddaughter of veteran filmmaker Bimal Roy over the weekend. The couple arrived at their sangeet ceremony in matching black outfits and posed for the paparazzi. The couple was all smiles as they struck a pose together.

Karan Deol’s brother Rajveer Deol looked dapper in his blue outfit and Abhay Deol came dressed in a pink achkan suit. Bobby Deol was seen in a light pink kurta-pyjama and his wife Tanya looked gorgeous in a yellow lehenga.

On Thursday, at Karan’s mehendi ceremony, Sunny won hearts with his henna design which featured symbols of various religions. Karan also showed off his henna-adorned hand. He got Drisha’s name written on one of his palms.

Sunny Deol is looking forward to the release of Gadar: Katha Continues, which is coming 22 years after Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, The film was a blockbuster when it released in 2001. Directed by Anil Sharma, it had Sunny paired opposite Ameesha Patel.

Karan Deol made his acting debut with 2019’s Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas which was directed by his father Sunny Deol. He was then seen in the 2021 film Velle, which also starred his uncle Abhay Deol. He is set to star in Apne 2, which also stars his family members Sunny, Bobby and Dharmendra.
