Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is all set to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office and the actor is over the moon celebrating the success of his latest movie. SRK hosted an Ask SRK session on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday and spoke to his fans about the Jawan frenzy. Fans were curious to know about the philanthropic activities of Meer Foundation given that Jawan has made history at the box office.
One of the fans asked Shah Rukh about his philanthropic plans after Jawan’s success and the actor shared that he will be organising shows of the film with the foundation. The actor added that he hoped that it leaves a smile on everyone’s face. “Yeah the whole family has been saying it. Will start with all our partners that Meer Foundation works with to show everyone the film. Being an entertainer if I can make all of them smile it will be most satisfying. Telling @RedChilliesEnt just now. Tks for the idea. #Jawan.”
Another fan asked Shah Rukh Khan about his philanthropy and the actor said, “I think we are moving in the right direction and helping as many as we can to lead a happier life. No need to talk about that. But very excited I have just told them to show the film #Jawan to all NGOs this week. All over. Somebody just gave me that idea so feeling happy.”
Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s second big hit of the year after Pathaan. Before this, Shah Rukh did not appear in any leading roles for almost four years. Now, the two biggest hits of the year, that changed the trajectory of the domestic box office in India, belong to Shah Rukh Khan. The two films are the highest grossers in the history of Hindi cinema. In the Indian market, Pathaan made Rs 543.05 crore nett and Jawan has already made Rs 526.73 crore nett in just 15 days. As per Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie has collected Rs 937.61 crore worldwide gross at the box office so far. The film is still running successfully at the box office and it seems like it will break Pathaan’s record soon.
