In an upcoming episode of Tata Play Binge’s Now Bingeing, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will get candid about their relationship. One such revelation made by Saif proved how insightful actor Rani Mukerji is. Her advice seems to have helped Saif while dating Kareena. He revealed that a throwaway statement from the Black actor made so much difference to his life.
Talking about the insightful advice he received from Rani, he said, “Rani is truly amazing, and our friendship has deepened over time. During a shoot, she was away from the love of her life and suggested, ‘Let’s shoot non-stop, finish this, and not take a day off.’ She also said, ‘You’re going out with Kareena, and I’m so happy. I’ll give you some advice – think of it as two heroes in the house.’ I grasped the essence of her words, and even today, I sometimes reflect on that advice. It’s about two equals contributing to the home’s well-being. When one is working, the other is tending to the children.”
He added, “I understand it now. It was excellent advice, touching upon the complexities of gender roles. She was addressing the question of whether it’s acceptable for a wife to work extensively while the husband takes care of the household. What she meant was, of course, it is acceptable! Offer her the respect of equality – that’s what she was emphasizing.”
Saif Ali Khan recently underwent a triceps surgery after an accident during the shoot of Devara, his Telugu film with actor Jr NTR. He is currently recovering from the surgery and will return to the sets of the movie soon. The film, directed by Kortala Siva, also marks the debut of Janhvi Kapoor.
