Actor Richa Chadha is known for speaking her mind on topical issues. At a time when Bollywood is hardly seeing a great run at the box office barring a few exceptions (read Pathaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar), Richa recently took to her social media to give her take on the matter.
Asking filmmakers to cast decent artistes, Richa wrote, “Dear directors, please cast good actors. At least you will make a film with someone who can elevate your written material and take it off the page. Your so called whatevers are not getting you any opening any way. Make a film which you can be proud of, not a project.”
Over the said Instagram story, Richa had written a caption which read, “Gonna take this story and make it into a highlight called Truth Bombs. The only bombs you all should endure.”
Meanwhile, Vipul Shah-produced controversial film The Kerala Story, which sees Adah Sharma playing the lead, has managed to generate a decent revenue at box office despite protests and a ban in West Bengal. However, it is too soon to say if the movie will end up becoming a blockbuster.
On the work front, Richa Chadha is gearing up for Fukrey 3 release. She was last seen in the 2021 film Lahore Confidential.
