As soon as Deepika Padukone showed her displeasure on twitter, not only fans but her friends too began registering their anger in the form of tweets to her. Her rumoured beau Ranveer Singh, ‘Finding Fanny’ co-star Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Ayushmann Khurrana, Dia Mirza, Karan Johar and others expressed their disappointment at the series of events.

The hashtag trended for a couple of hours nationwide, wherein people showed their support for Deepika for standing up against lewd remarks passed by a certain section of media about women.

Deepika Padukone’s earlier tweets to the news portal have garnered almost 6600 retweets in 21 hours.
