Lootera filmmaker, Vikramaditya Motwane has slammed the makers of Pushpa 2 for monopolising multiplexes by bringing them under contract to screen no other film for first ten days of its release. The reaction came after Zoom quoted an anonymous source from a popular multiplex chain sharing, “If we play any other film for even one show, action is likely to be taken against us.”

Taking to his Instagram handle, Motwane, who previously had questioned the number of shows being screened across theatres, giving no screens to Golden Globes-nominated film All We Imagine As Light, shared a screenshot of the quote and wrote, “Ah the plot thickens… not that we should start feeling sorry for our favourite multiplex chain (yeah you know the one). The irony of them being strong-armed after they have done the exact same thing in the past multiple times to producers is just…”
