Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has remained mum about his divorce from his wife Aaliya Siddiqui. He has mostly refrained from commenting on the accusations made against him by her. Recently, the actor shared why he doesn’t react to any kind of rumours about him. He said that nothing much can be done about the rumours. Also, he has noticed that people enjoy the misery of others.
Nawazuddin is currently busy promoting the release of his next film, Afwaah. Helmed by Sudhir Mishra, the film also stars Bhumi Pednekar. During the promotions, he told ETimes that often a person about whom a rumour is spread is generally taken to be a villain by people.
He said, “You can’t do anything about a rumour. It has happened even earlier that one rumour was spread by someone purposely to make a person into a villain. The way a rumour spreads, others also keep adding fuel to fire and people start believing it. Thus, the person in question becomes a villain. By the time the truth comes out, his career is over. Everyone is in their shell. Agar ek ki pit rahi hai, toh sab maze le rahe hai (Everyone takes pleasure out of a person’s misery).”
Nawaz mentioned that he doesn’t get carried away by the provocation of a ‘bad person’ and prefers not to react to rumours. He added, “Ganda aadmi aapko lalkarta hai aur jab aap uske paale mein jaate hain, wahan woh aapse smart hota hai (A bad person provokes you, and almost gets you to their territory. That’s where you know that you’ve been outsmarted.) So it’s better to let the rumours spread and not react.”
Recently, Aaliyah claimed she has no issues with Nawazuddin now as he has ‘solved some things’ and she and her children are happily settled in Dubai.
After Afwaah, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in Jogira Sara Ra Ra. He also has Haddi and Bole Chudiyan in the pipeline.
