Mithun Chakraborty‘s son, Mimoh, was recently seen on the Netflix India show Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. While his stint on OTT has been getting him a lot of attention, Mimoh has recently opened up about the struggles he went through to establish himself as an actor. During a conversation with Digital Commentary, Mimoh opened up about the time when the industry not just ignored him, but also his father, Mithun Chakraborty.
“Whenever anything negative happened, there would also be a glimpse of hope. Casting directors would message me to audition for a TV show, and they would disappear, I would not find any roles, then again after a couple of months, a message offering work would come. Whenever I felt it was not working out, there would be a sign that would put me on the path,” Mimoh added.
In an earlier interview, Mimoh said the only two people who helped him through the years are Karan Johar and Salman Khan. “Salman Bhai and Karan Johar, they are the only two who have actually helped me. Salman Bhai loves dad a lot, and whenever I message asking if I can meet him, he says, ‘aaja, come over’. I go and chill with him, he sits with me, gives me a lot of good advice. Karan Johar has gone out of his way to help me and Namashi, my brother. He has introduced me to so many people, connected me with so many people and agencies,” he had told Bollywood Helpline.
Mimoh also recalled the time his father went through a worse patch than he had professionally. He also thanked Salman for being like an elder brother to him.
