Filmmaker Karan Johar’s drastic weight loss has been the talk of the town lately. While some expressed concern for his health, others speculated that he used Ozempic—a medication known for promoting rapid weight loss. However, during an Instagram Live session on April 17, Karan, who has previously spoken about his struggles with body dysmorphia, broke his silence on the real reason behind his sudden transformation.
During the live session, Karan assured fans that he is doing fine. He shared, “I’m in the pink of my health. I have never been better.”

The filmmaker also revealed the secret behind his drastic weight loss. “It started with me discovering…that I needed to correct my blood levels,” he said. Although Karan Johar is now on medication to correct the blood levels, he clarified that his weight loss is primarily due to a strict diet plan that limits him to just one meal a day. In addition to following this diet plan, Karan also incorporated swimming and paddleball into his routine to support his transformation. He emphasised that his physical changes were motivated by health concerns and encouraged his fans to eat mindfully.
Earlier at the IIFA Awards, Karan Johar spoke about his weight loss and said, “It’s being healthy. Eating well, exercising, and doing your best to look good.” When asked about his routine, he replied, “If I do that, I’ll give my secret away.”
