Actor Kangana Ranaut seems mighty impressed with fellow Himachali actor, Yami Gautam. Kangana, who is usually very critical about Bollywood insiders, took to social media and called Yami’s work inspiring. Kangana also said that Yami has quietly been delivering back-to-back hit films.
Yami, on Friday, had shared a poster claiming that her latest film, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, is the most-viewed Indian film globally on Netflix, in two weeks of release. According to the data, the film has over 29 lakh views in the first two weeks of release. Second on the list is RRR and third is Gangubai Kathiawadi. Kangana re-posted Yami’s Instagram story and wrote, “@yamigautam is doing so well, consistently and quietly delivering the most successful films…so inspiring. Congratulations to the entire team.”

Kangana has always been appreciative of Yami. When the Kaabil actor got married to filmmaker Aditya Dhar, Kangana congratulated her and complimented her attire. Since Kangana and Yami both hail from Himachal Pradesh, Kangana had posted a picture of Yami as a bride, and had written, “Older than tradition and time. Nothing more divine than a raw mountain girl turned bride #himachalpradesh.”
Yami’s Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga also stars Sunny Kaushal, Indraneil Sengupta and Sharad Kelkar, and is directed by Ajay Singh. Yami recently performed a puja ceremony with husband Aditya Dhar to express gratitude. She posted pictures on her Instagram from the puja ceremony and wrote in the caption, “Every ounce of Success and Love I have been receiving is all because of my beloved Maa Durga and Lord Shiva. I truly feel blessed! Love, Gratitude and Thanks to all!”
Kangana is currently working on her new film as director, Emergency, in which she plays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film also stars Mahima Chaudhry, Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman and Vishak Nair.
