In the latest episode of What The Hell Navya Season 2, the women of the Bachchan family – Shweta Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Navya Naveli Nanda – delved into their family’s culinary traditions. Navya disclosed that their family has dishes named after those who excel in making them. Jaya Bachchan also humorously mentioned that despite hearing rave reviews about her son Abhishek’s ‘amazing mutton curry,’ she’s yet to taste it.
During the lively discussion, Navya shared the specialties of each family member in the kitchen. She highlighted the beloved aloo chilka as a household favourite. She said, “Every house has a specialty and I know something that people love eating at our house – aloo chilka. It’s actually quite cute because we have named certain recipes after people like we have ‘Nani Ma’s khichadi,’ which she makes in a Bengali way. We have ‘Mama Toast’. It’s a sandwich that Nani has invented. You have ‘Navya’s aloo’ because it’s the recipe that I have created. We also have ‘Shweta’s pasta.’ Nana always says, ‘I will eat Shweta’s pasta.'”
Adding to the discussion, Jaya Bachchan revealed Amitabh Bachchan’s special fondness for daughter Shweta Bachchan’s pasta. She said, “He (Big B) asks, ‘Is Shweta making the pasta?’ If you say ‘no’, he will ask you to tell Shweta to make it.”
Shweta chimed in, jokingly stating, “Agastya has no dish named after him.” To which, Jaya quickly retorted, “Neither does Abhishek. He keeps saying, ‘I make amazing mutton curry,’ but I am yet to see that mutton curry.”
