Janhvi Kapoor’s boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya lashes out at troll for casteist remark, calls it ‘pathetic’: ‘Your thinking is untouchable’

Janhvi Kapoor’s boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya, recently shut down a troll who targeted him with a casteist remark. The social media user commented on Shikhar’s Diwali post, bringing up his caste. Instead of ignoring the insult, Shikhar chose to respond with a strong message, calling out the troll’s regressive mindset. He also shared a screenshot of the comment in his Instagram Stories, using the moment to educate the user.

Shikhar’s original post featured him posing with his dogs as he wished his Instagram followers a happy Diwali. However, one user left a casteist remark that read, “Lekin tu toh Dalit hai (But, you’re a Dalit).” In response, Shikhar clapped back with a powerful note, calling the troll’s thinking “untouchable.”

He wrote, “It’s honestly pathetic that in 2025, there are still people like you with a small, backward mindset. Diwali is a festival of light, progress and unity – concepts that are clearly beyond your limited intellect.”

Continuing further, he wrote, “India’s strength has always been in its diversity and inclusivity, something you clearly fail to grasp. Maybe instead of spreading ignorance, you should focus on educating yourself, because right now, the only thing truly ‘untouchable’ here is your level of thinking.”

Shikhar’s Diwali post also featured Janhvi Kapoor and carried a caption about ‘good over evil’. He wrote, “May the arrival of Lord Ram bring a year of light and prosperity, may good reign over evil and may we have the strength and wisdom to always pick the path of righteousness. blessed are those who have the ability to help, uplift and protect those who need it. May we recognise this blessing and live with gratitude. I wish this for all of us. I wish you all, the happiest Diwali.”

Shikhar hails from a prominent political and film background as the grandson of former Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and the son of actor Smruti Shinde. His brother, Veer Pahariya, recently stepped into Bollywood with his debut in Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force.
