When Team India lost its most crucial match against Australia two days back, there was an array of tweets directed at Anushka Sharma calling her ‘panauti’ and what not. There was one we remember saying, “Anushka Sharma travelled all the way to Sydney to watch Virat Kohli score one run. That’s true love.”
Now we are not sure whether Anushka had a premonition of Virat scoring just that one run and she went to cheer for him even after that. But what we do know is that while some fans and followers of Cricket might still continue to act churlish and blame Anushka for the defeat, when she wasn’t even batting, bowling and fielding, the man who ‘loves’ her will stand by her and “hold” her hand, literally and figuratively.
