Firing outside Salman Khan’s house: Arbaaz Khan says family is ‘taken aback’ after ‘disturbing’ incident

Arbaaz Khan has issued a statement about shots being fired at Salman Khan's house and said that the family is cooperating with the police.

Arbaaz Khan opened up about the firing outside Salman Khan's house.

Two suspects on a motorcycle fired five rounds at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area early Sunday. Salman, who has Y-plus category security cover, and his family members were present at home when the firing took place. However, no one was injured. An FIR has been registered at the Bandra police station and the matter is being probed by the Mumbai crime branch.

Amid these distressing circumstances, a statement purportedly from Salman’s father Salim Khan has been circulating online. However, Arbaaz Khan has refuted this report, stating that no member of the family has issued any statement.

Arbaaz took to his social media handle and wrote, “The recent incident of firing by two unidentified person on a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment the residence of the Salim Khan family is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place.”

The actor clarified that some individuals falsely claiming to be connected to the family have been issuing ‘loose’ statements to the media. Arbaaz said that these statements should not be taken seriously.

He continued, “No member of the Salim Khan family has made any statement regarding this incident to the media. At this time the family is helping and cooperating with the police in the investigation of this untoward incident. We have faith in the Mumbai police and we have been assured they will do everything in their capacity to protect and secure our family. Thank you everyone for your love and support.”

Salman was spotted leaving the apartment on Monday with heavy security. In the viral videos doing rounds on the internet, Salman was seen leaving with police vans surrounding his car. Iulia Vantur was also spotted leaving Salman’s apartment.

Soon after the incident, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Arhaan Khan and Arpita Khan among others visited Salman Khan.
