Dunki box office collection Day 15: Shah Rukh Khan starrer has made Rs 417 crore so far.

Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dunki has been in the theatres for a little over two weeks. The film’s box office collections have been stuck in single digit numbers for almost all of its second week, the numbers declined further on Thursday. On its 15th day in the cinemas, Dunki made Rs 2.65 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk, taking its domestic nett collections to Rs 206.53 crore.

Dunki’s global box office collection stands at Rs 417.1 crore, as per the film’s producers Red Chillies Entertainment. Dunki released with Salaar which dominated the box office. While it does not have much competition at the theatres for the next couple of weeks, it seems rather difficult for the film to cross the Rs 500 crore mark.

For SRK, this has been a blockbuster year with his two previous films of 2023, Pathaan and Jawan, both making over Rs 1000 crore globally. As per data shared by Sacnilk, Rajkumar Hirani’s earlier film 3 Idiots ran for almost 11 weeks in India and managed to bring in Rs 460 crore worldwide gross. His next collaboration with Aamir Khan, the 2014 film PK, made Rs 792 crore globally but it is to be noted that the film also released in China which contributed heavily to its gross worldwide collections. Even his last directorial, the 2018 film Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor, made Rs 588.50 crore gross worldwide.

Shah Rukh Khan is yet to announce his next film after Dunki. In a previous conversation with MBC Bollywood, the actor said that he would be playing a more ‘age real’ role in his next film. It has been rumoured that King Khan might collaborate with his daughter Suhana for his next but so far, no announcements have been made on that front.

Rajkumar Hirani, meanwhile, has shared that he will be working in the capacity the showrunner of a Disney+ Hotstar show, which stars Vikrant Massey. He also hinted in recent interviews that there is a strong possibility of him working with Sanjay Dutt for the third installment of Munna Bhai.
