The numbers are out and they’re impressive. ‘Dilwale’ collected Rs. 21 crore on its opening day, beating Bajirao Mastani, which earned Rs. 12.80 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers.

According to Red Chillies Entertainment, the audience response to the film has been good from all age groups, particularly from families. ‘Dilwale’ is also said to have had a good first day in the international markets. It had a record breaking opening day in East and South India.
Taran Adarsh posted that both this Friday’s releases, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Dilwale’ are liked by moviegoers. However, the Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer may have suffered a bit in terms of collections, when compared to ‘Dilwale’.
