Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s daughter Raha turned one on Monday. And both her grandmothers couldn’t contain their excitement. Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan, and Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, took to Instagram to share heartwarming birthday wishes for their granddaughter.

Since Alia and Ranbir’s have not revealed Raha’s face to the public, their mothers also chose not to post pictures of the little one on her special day and instead expressed their love through heartfelt notes. Neetu Kapoor wrote, “…and just like that she turned 1. Happy 1st birthday my precious doll Raha. We love you to the moon and back.” Soni also shared her affection for Raha, saying, “Seems like just yesterday that you came into our world. Can’t believe its already been a whole year. Happy birthday darling Raha.”

In an earlier interaction with fans, Ranbir had revealed that Raha’s first birthday would be an intimate affair, with a small celebration at home with Raha’s cousins, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, and other family members. He mentioned, “She is going to turn one-year-old and we are going to have a small birthday party for her at home with just family and cousins. So, looking forward to that.”

At a recent event, Alia explained the couple’s decision to keep their daughter’s face hidden from the public eye. She emphasised that they are proud of their baby but wanted to protect her from undue paparazzi attention at such a young age. She said, “I don’t want it to seem like ‘oh I am hiding my daughter’s face.’ I am proud of her. We are proud of our baby. The intention with which it came out initially was that we are new parents, we don’t know how we feel about her face being splashed all over Instagram. She is barely a year old. We don’t find the need for her to be a moment of paparazzi. She is still too little.”
