Rumours of a rift between Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter, Shweta Bachchan, and daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, have circulated for some time. However, a recent video showcasing the two Bachchan ladies bonding after returning to Mumbai from the Ambani pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar has put such speculation to rest.
In the clip, Aishwarya and Shweta were seen engaged in conversation as they exited Mumbai’s Kalina airport. Leading the way, Amitabh Bachchan comes out with granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan, with Abhishek closely following Aishwarya and Shweta. The video concluded with Aishwarya and Aaradhya sharing a goodbye hug with Shweta Bachchan’s son, Agastya Nanda.
Last year, at Paris Fashion Week, Navya made her debut, with Jaya and Shweta cheering for her from the front row. However, Aishwarya’s presence on the same runway went unmentioned by Shweta in her Instagram stories and posts.
Turning to the three-day-long pre-wedding bash of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the Bachchans graced the festivities only on the last day. A video from the event emerged on social media showing Abhishek, Aishwarya, and Aaradhya enjoying the dhol beats at the event. The concluding day of the celebration featured performances by renowned singers such as Shreya Ghosal, Arijit Singh, Pritam, Sukhbir Singh, and the international sensation Akon.
