Leaders of Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and handed him a list of demands, which includes opening new colleges in Delhi, university special buses and upgrading infrastructure of Delhi government colleges.

“We submitted an eight-point memorandum of demands to the chief minister, who has assured us of looking into the issues raised by us, including improvement of infrastructure,” DUSU president Mohit Nagar said. DUSU is the representative body of students from all colleges and faculties of the university.

“Regarding the university-special buses, he has asked us to submit a list of the routes on which these buses are required. We have also requested him that the DTC buses passes availed by DU students should also be valid on airconditioned buses,” he said. The students also want steps to make Delhi university a “compact campus” for improved security.

“The CM assured us of immediate action on three demands — of buses, improvement of infrastructure of colleges funded by Delhi government and that of a compact campus,” Saket Bahuguna, Delhi state secretary of the ABVP, said.
