
Bidyut Baran Mahato is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), representing the Jamshedpur constituency in the Lok Sabha.
Born on February 15, 1963, in Krishnapur, Seraikela Kharsawan, Jharkhand, Mahato's political journey includes his tenure as a Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha starting from May 16, 2014, after he succeeded Ajoy Kumar.
His re-election in the 2019 general elections marked his continued influence and presence in national politics. Apart from his role in the Lok Sabha, Mahato has also served as a member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, representing the Baharagora Constituency before his tenure in the national parliament.
During his tenure, Mahato has been involved in several committees, including the Standing Committee on Heavy Industries and the Ministry of Steel and Mines. He also serves on the South Eastern Railway User's Consultative Committee, highlighting his engagement with industry and infrastructure development.
