VIDEO: What if online trolls came into real life? This social experiment is an eye-opener

Through a social experiment, the makers tried to represent what actually happens on social media posts. "After watching this, you'll rethink the way you interact online," Lewinsky tweeted along with a link to the video.

Social bullying has gone to dizzying heights nowadays. A screenshot of a guy’s vitriolic rape threat to a girl and her brother that surfaced on the Internet recently is proof enough. Celebrity or commoner, no one is spared from the repercussions of trolls. To fight against the absurdity, anti-bullying activist Monica Lewinsky posted a video that has come across as a real eye-opener for those who enjoy such “cheap thrills” behind their screens.

Shedding light on what would happen if online trolls came alive in real life, bullies spewed angst on people on the streets. In the social experiment, while the bullies and their victims are actors, the people who are coming out to save the victims are real. Through this video, the makers tried to represent what actually happens on social media posts. “After watching this, you’ll rethink the way you interact online,” Lewinsky tweeted along with a link to the video.

The clip makes a strong point as to why such people should stop this cowardly act.
