Almost everything about Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) is part of India’s pop culture. The songs from the movie are still popular, even after two decades of its release. One of the songs, Dewaana Hai Dekho, picturised on Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, has a dedicated fan following.
Now, Musdalifah Basri, a standup-comedian and actor, along with her team, has recreated the visuals from the song, and the Instagram reel has gone viral with over 155K views, leaving audiences in stitches.
In the original song, Roshan enters the scene in a swanky Lamborghini, but in Basri’s world, the “hero” enters on the back of a cart. With funny body language, the actors recreate almost every shot in the original song, and it just keeps getting better (or worse, but in a funny way).

Reacting to the video, one user said, “Justice for Lamborghini”. Another Instagram user commented, “Ye sab logo ko karan johar dhoon raha hai (Karan Johar is looking for all these people).”
This is not the first time Basri has recreated something from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. A couple of weeks ago, the team recreated the iconic scene from the movie where Jaya Bachchan’s character meets Shah Rukh Khan’s character (her son), in London.
