Dogs are often called “man’s best friend.” An auto-rickshaw driver in Bengaluru takes this connection to a whole new level—his loyal dog, Jackie, rides with him every single day.

A heart-warming photo shared by a Bengaluru resident captures this unique duo on the go––the driver engrossed in his phone and Jackie enjoying the street view, completely at ease. Jackie has been with the driver since he was just four days old, and ever since, they’ve been inseparable. Now, no matter where the auto goes, Jackie is there, soaking in the sights of the bustling city.

The caption of the X post reads: “My auto wale bhaiyya has his dog( name is Jackie ) with him in the auto; this kid has been with him from when he was 4 days old and now they travel together everywhere. Does this call for a @PeakBangalore moment??”

Meanwhile, people are expressing their love for dogs in different ways. Mugdha Khatri, founder of Healing Saathi—a Dehradun-based charity providing shelter—for instance. During her wedding, Khatri had her first rescue dog Tarzan as her ring bearer. Her bridal chadar had paw prints of rescued cats and dogs, her veil had the words “In love and unity, we vow to protect the voiceless” embroidered on it, and her kallira was customised with dog faces, paw designs, and the names of her pets.
