Actor Jaideep Ahlawat, who plays Hathi Ram Chaudhary in Paatal Lok Season 2, recently received a delightful tribute from Amul. The dairy brand, known for its topicals, celebrated Ahlawat’s gripping performance of a gritty and flawed cop unravelling layers of justice in a murky, uncharted world, with a creative and witty artwork.

The artwork reimagines the iconic Amul mascot as Hathi Ram Chaudhary, sitting by the roadside, enjoying bread and butter. It cleverly mirrors one of the posters of the show featuring Ahlawat.

Overwhelmed by the gesture, the actor shared the post on Instagram, saying: “Itna bhi maska nahi lagana tha Hathi Ram ko @amul_india, nahi toh aur zyada mota ho jaayega (Don’t butter up Hathi Ram so much, @amul_india, or he’ll put on more weight.)”

He also wrote, “I melted like makhan looking at this! Thank you for the love, this one’s special!”

Amul India also replied to the post, “Haha, Hathi Ram ke liye itna maska toh banta hai! Especially, for an outstanding performance.”

Actress Merenla Imsong, who played Rose Lizo in Season 2 of the show, wrote, “Mai Hathiram Choudhary ka permanent fan hoon (I’m Hathiram Choudhary’s permanent fan.)”

The show is directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware and is written, created, and executive-produced by Sudip Sharma.
