In a country where stereotypes about the states and their people overshadow individual potential, a young man from Bihar is challenging the narrative with determination. The state has long been stereotyped for poor education infrastructure, lack of opportunities, and job migration issues, but Amit, 23, a security guard, is challenging it by working night shifts while preparing for the Bihar Police exams. And Amit’s story has gone viral.
A video shared on Instagram by content creator Suhail Rasool introduced Amit’s inspiring routine. In the viral Reel, Rasool engages in a heartfelt conversation with the young security guard, uncovering how Amit juggles long, late-night duties with his dream of joining the police force. Amit is seen solving math problems during his shift.
Rasool repeatedly tells him, “All the best” and “Proud of you”. Sharing the video, he wrote, “What an inspiration. He’s been working hard as well as studying all night.”
