A family in Hyderabad recently received more than they bargained for in a Zomato order – a dead lizard in a chicken biryani. The unsavoury discovery has not only left the family appalled but has also ignited a conversation about safety standards in the online food delivery industry.

The family members promptly took to social media to share images of their unexpected culinary guest.
Zomato swiftly responded emphasising its commitment to maintaining high food safety standards and pledged to take necessary action after an investigation.
