A Russian woman named Yulia, in an Instagram post, has praised Bengaluru as India’s most livable city. In a video showing her strolling through the city’s streets, she lauded Bengaluru’s lifestyle and pleasant climate.

“If I could choose again the city I would want to live in India, my answer would be very clear: #NammaBengaluru,” she wrote.

Yulia compared Bengaluru to other major Indian cities, saying Delhi and Jaipur felt “super cold” during winter, while Chennai and Mumbai were “too hot.” In her view, Bengaluru offers the perfect balance. “It is sunny, warm, green and, as we say in Russia, the heat doesn’t break bones,” she added.

Reflecting on the city’s changing weather, Yulia noted that a decade ago, air conditioners were rarely needed, but now they’ve become almost essential. Still, she insists Bengaluru’s climate remains “just beautiful.”

Having grown up in Siberia, where temperatures can plummet to minus 50°C, she joked that she “can’t afford to complain” about Indian weather. Beyond the climate, Yulia also appreciates the city’s culture and vibe. “I’m super glad to live in the pub capital of India and former paradise for retirement,” she said, ending her post with a playful plea: “PS No questions about traffic please.”
