Hans Zimmer is arguably the most popular composer in the world today. He has 22 Grammy nominations and four wins in his name. Zimmer has composed music for over 150 films, including The Lion King, Dune, Pirates of the Caribbean series, Dunkirk, and The Dark Knight trilogy.

On June 15, the Oscar-winning composer surprised his girlfriend (producer Dina De Luca) and fans at his London concert by proposing to her. The Independent reported that Zimmer bought Dina De Luca onto the stage of London’s O2 arena and said, “Why did I bring you up here? I was going to ask you something really important. Did you lock the back door? Is the milk in the fridge? Do we have any sorbet in the freezer? Will you marry me?”.

As he asked this, the crowd burst into cheers as Dina De Luca accepted his proposal. The audience rose to their feet as the couple embraced on stage.

Currently, a video of Zimmer’s proposal is going viral across platforms. On Friday, ABC News shared a clip of the wholesome moment on Instagram. An Instagram user commented, “Bravo, Bravo, Maestro! Best wishes! ”. Another person wrote, “What a composer! And, a good proposer”.

After the proposal, Zimmer performed “Time” from the 2010 Christopher Nolan thriller Inception. As he played the piano, Dina De Luca stood by his side. The musician has been married twice before.
