
YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, claimed that his latest video ‘7 Days Stranded At Sea’ became the most-watched non-music video on YouTube in 24 hours. The video was posted on August 5.
On Tuesday, the 25-year-old shared a screenshot that showed the 46 million view count on his YouTube video and wrote, “New video broke the world record for most views in 24 hours on a non music video! I’m living the life I would dream of every night when I was 13.. I love all of you and thank you so much for watching our videos!!! I’ll never take you all for granted 🥺❤️”.
In a follow-up post, he wrote, “Also, I don’t ever want to hear I only get views because I give away money. We broke the world record with me and my friends suffering and cracking jokes lol”.
Meanwhile, the Guinness World Records (GWR), considered to be the top authority on listing unique records and achievements, reshared MrBeast’s post and wrote, “best run this past our numbers people shouldn’t we”. The GWR is known for meticulously verifying every record before authorising any claim.
As of August 7, the video in question has over sixty million views. On July 5, MrBeast made history after he became the first person to reach one million followers on Threads within hours of the app’s launch.
On November 17, 2022, he broke the record for the “most subscribers for an individual male on YouTube” with 112,193,139 subscribers. Today he has over 174 million YouTube subscribers.
