A British tourist had an unforgettable experience when a group of monkeys surrounded him in Thailand, and he captured it on camera. Kane Smith posted the footage of the incident on TikTok on March 19, which was widely circulated across all social media platforms.
The now-viral video begins with Smith relaxing in a hotel swimming pool in Thailand, only for monkeys to gradually gather around the pool and him. As the video continues, the situation quickly intensifies as more monkeys appear out of nowhere. Smith, visibly distressed, tries to move to the other side of the pool while the monkeys slowly approach.
“No, go away,” he repeats, attempting to keep them at a distance. At one point, the footage shows several monkeys drinking water while others roam around the pool, indifferent to Smith’s attempts to shoo them away. As they continue to encircle him, Smith warns, “Don’t come near me,” adding, “I’m scared.”
Further, Smith manages to leave the pool, but the monkeys continue to follow him. However, they hesitate when he makes a loud noise, and he successfully escapes.
“Honestly the scariest moment of my life. I apologise for all the swearing… kinda thought my life was about to end.. started off with 1 monkey and then a full gang suddenly appeared,” Smith captioned the video on Instagram.
