Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are set to marry this summer in Venice, Italy, nearly two years after their engagement in May 2023, reports said. The couple ended their previous marriages in 2019 and 2023, respectively.
According to a report on Page Six, Bezos and Sanchez have begun sending out wedding invitations to their guests as the ceremony will possibly take place in June. However, the exact wedding date is still under wraps.
The reports further suggest that the couple will get married on Bezos’ extravagant $500 million superyacht, Koru, off the Italian coast. This location is significant, as it was where Amazon’s Executive Chairman proposed and where they later held an engagement bash. The guest list for the star-studded wedding is expected to have noted public figures from the tech and entertainment industries.
When they got engaged in May 2023, Sanchez flaunted a stunning 20-carat diamond ring, rumored to be valued at $2.5 million. The former news anchor and the tech mogul have been in a relationship since they made it official in 2019.
Born in 1969 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lauren Sanchez is a former broadcast journalist who worked as an entertainment reporter and news anchor. The 55-year-old co-hosted the “Good Day LA” morning show from 2011 to 2017 and appeared in movies like “The Longest Yard”, “Fight Club”, and “Ted 2”.
According to Page Six, she was previously married to Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell, with whom she has two children, Ella and Evan. Additionally, she has a 23-year-old son, Nikko, with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.
Bezos, on the other hand, was married to MacKenzie Scott from 1993 to 2019, and they have four children together.
