Life in the animal kingdom is vastly different from humans. While human babies take 10 to 18 months to start walking, elephant calves are able to stand within 20 minutes of being born and can walk within one hour.
Elephant calves are able to walk so rapidly, that it is still quite a sight to see the first steps of a baby elephant. Popular Twitter page Buitengebieden (@buitengebieden) shared a video showing the first steps of an elephant calf and it is adorable to watch.
The 45-second clip shows the calf tumbling and falling while taking its first step. It again gets up and tries to stand steadily. The elephant calf then attempts to walk by moving its hind legs first and because of this, tumbles again.

I love Elephants,” said another.
According to the WWF, elephant calves can keep up with the herds in only two days. In another astonishing fact, it said an elephant calf can weigh 120 kg at birth.
