English pop star Ed Sheeran is in India for his “+ – = / x” tour, and after Pune and Hyderabad concerts, he has arrived in Chennai for his concert on Wednesday, February 5. Ahead of his performance, Sheeran spent some time with KM Music Conservatory’s choir team in the city.

In a now-viral video shared by the singer on Instagram, he can be seen performing his chart-topping song Perfect with the choir. Sheeran begins with the iconic opening line, “We were just kids when we fell in love,” while the choir provides a “perfect” background.

The video has already been viewed more than 7.8 million times, and netizens are loving the new version of the popular song.

Prime Video India commented, “A moment so perfect we just can’t stop watching.” Spotify India said, “They graduated from the ARR school of Perfection.”

Youtube India wrote, “Adding this version in our playlist.”

One of the members of the choir team, Geethu Nirmala, also left a comment on the post. She wrote, “Can’t thank the Universe for making it happen.Good things happen when we least expect it. Thank u @teddysphotos for giving this moment to cherish for our lifetime.”

Sheeran also met Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman and his son A R Ameen.

 

Rahman gave fans a surprise on Instagram by sharing a couple of pictures with Sheeran and Ameen. In one of the photos, the trio is seen relaxing on a couch, while in another, Rahman is seen behind his music console with Sheeran taking a picture of him.
